Being baptized in the Church has completely changed my life.
Before I found the Church, I was going down a pretty dark path.
Somewhere along the line, I lost my faith.
I made quite a few bad decisions.
I wanted change, I just didn‘t know how to change.
I have to make a conscious effort to rely on Jesus Christ.
I remember getting down on my knees and praying to Heavenly Father, “Just teach me what I need to know.”
If the Latter-day Saints have a truth that I don’t have, then I want to know.
I got down on my knees and prayed, and I decided to get baptized.
And I was like, “You know what? I think I’m ready to get baptized.”
I just got the sweetest confirmation in my heart, the most beautiful feeling of peace.
At the baptism, I felt completely forgiven. I felt like a new woman.
It’s like being born again. Like, it sounds so cliché but it really, really is.
Like, here you get to start over again. You get a do-over!
Now, when I look in the mirror, I’m so happy. I see light in that person’s eyes. I see a smile. I see someone who’s striving.
